Hi Vis clothing stands for High Visibility clothing. It forms a part of Personal Protection Equipment, or PPE. Hi Vis Clothing is made in such a way so as to reflect maximum visibility to the wearer by reflecting a large amount of light or by highly noticeable, brightly colored material.

These clothes are worn by pedestrians, early morning joggers, policemen and basically anyone who would like to protect themselves from accidents caused due to poor visibility on the road.

Hi Vis clothing is becoming a rage, especially in Great Britain. However, it has been around for a long period on time, before the trend caught on amongst common members of the public. For example, traffic policemen in most countries have always been wearing retro reflective stripes. Another category of people who have been wearing these are railway workers who often work in poor light.
